About Holy Trinity, Cressy

Holy Trinity Church is the main church in the Anglican Parish of Cressy, Diocese of Tasmania.

Holy Trinity Church in Cressy, Tasmania, is a charming example of rural church architecture. The plain Georgian-style architecture of the original structure designed in the mid-1850s by Bishop Nixon was subsumed by Alexander North's late 19th century redevelopment and extension in the Arts and Crafts style.  The church features beautiful stained glass windows and a peaceful atmosphere that reflects its historical significance in the community.

The church serves as a place of worship and community gathering, often hosting services, weddings, and other events. Its serene setting and historical significance make it a lovely spot for visitors interested in architecture or local history.

Cressy itself is a small town with a rich agricultural heritage, and the church contributes to the town’s character and charm.
